Please make your reservations early to this year's CAUSE Community Building Luncheon as this inspirational event is typically standing room only!  This annual celebration, which brings together CAUSE leaders and friends, celebrates our accomplishments and inspires future action for tomorrow's issues.  We want you to join us for this important program and to join the CAUSE family.

The event is Friday, September 10th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ventura at the pier.  Registration begins at 10:00 this year in order to allow for more community building prior to the start of the luncheon program.  Please try to arrive early!

We invite you to come and meet our future generation of leaders working with CAUSE through our Youth Fellow Organizer Internship Program.  These young adults and their stories are sure to inspire you as to the bright future the Central Coast holds.

The highlight of this year's program is our keynote speaker, Dr. Robert Bullard, the "Father of Environmental Justice" and Director of Clark Atlanta University's Environmental Justice Resource Center.  Dr. Bullard is well known and respected for his groundbreaking work in the environmental justice movement and his writings are standard text in the environmental justice field.  He served on President Clinton's Transition Team with the U.S. Department of Energy, Interior, and Agriculture and the E.P.A.  Dr. Bullard is known as a charismatic speaker who keeps his audience enthralled while covering these serious subject matters of our time.  Returning as Master of Ceremonies is Dr. Manuel Pastor of the USC Program for Environmental and Regional Equity.
