CAUSE urges you to VOTE

june 8th primary election

The June 8th Primary Election is important for a number of reasons.  First, there are many statewide, legislative and county offices at stake and your participation is important.  There are also five Propositions on the ballot which CAUSE has taken a position on (see below).

The most important reasons to vote are not on the ballot.  The state of California faces a $20 billion budget gap, and the Governor has proposed filling that gap by making damaging cuts to schools, healthcare, human services—without asking one penny more from the largest corporations in the state which are currently taxed at historically low levels.  Just by voting you demonstrate that you are paying attention, and that elected leaders in Sacramento should be a lot more careful about meeting the needs in our communities.
